The Waddington International Air show was, quite literally, a wash out this year. The wettest June in living memory and persistent rain on day one of the show on Saturday left the ground sodden. With further heavy rain overnight, the grass parking areas were quickly turning into a swamp on Sunday morning. The result; the airshow was cancelled which was pity really, for all concerned, as the weather was reasonably decent and there probably could have been a full flying display.

For those that managed to get on the airfield early on Sunday morning, there was a brief opportunity to have a walk around the statics without the usual scrum but even that couldn't make up for the disappointment of the abandoned show.
